**NEW The G4S - Delichon's very own 4-wheel buggy base - it's lightweight, it's beautiful, it's fully crash tested and it's available now! Contact the office for more details.

Foam-Karve is an efficient method of manufacturing cushions tailor-made to the individual. Depending on the support level required, different combinations of foams can be used. An impression is obtained by using bead casting bags; from this the system can be fully carved, on-site (from our mobile unit) and then trial fitted. Only by using our mobile service can so much be achieved in such a short time. From here, the cushions are returned to us at Delichon for completion, and a delivery appointment can follow shortly afterwards.

Foam-Karve can be interfaced into a wide range of wheelbases, e.g. Shadow, Netti, Storm, Discovery, Quickie, Harrier, Apollo, Gillingham Tilt, Snug Seat, Foldaway, and even specialised office chairs. Whatever is required, we try to accommodate the individual's needs, by making either a full seating system, or just a back or a base cushion.

The Foam-Karve system is so versatile we even make cushions for racing cars, such as this Pilbeam MP58 hillclimb car (to bring you up to speed, this has power equivalent to that of an F1 racer). Two drivers share the car and a back cushion has been made for each, and yes - they have survived some 'unofficial' crash testing! The Foam-Karve Machine
The new design of carving machine has 5-axis capabilities, allowing carving of undercuts and overhangs on all sides of a foam block. This gives accurate contouring even from complex shapes while maintaining high standards of repeatability and surface finish. A wide range of open- and closed-cell foams can be used to give a choice of support surface properties.

The Foam-Karve machining system is easily transportable to provide on-site carving anywhere in the UK, allowing seats to progress from cast to trial fit stage in a single visit. This is convenient for the patient, and saves time for the professionals involved.

Foam-Karve clinics can be held at Schools, Wheelchair Services, Disablement Service Centres, Day Care Centres, etc.
We can also book appointments here at Delichon's offices in Hampshire, or we can arrange home visits.
